“Las Sendas is so beautiful. So diverse. So accessible. It’s unbeatable.”

When Jeff and Carla Peterson first went looking for a new home, their list of needs seemed quite difficult. Finding a home convenient to Phoenix and the city while maintaining the feel of a desert respite is no easy task. But, after much exploration, it became clear that perfection did exist. It was called Las Sendas. Since moving in, the Petersons have fallen in love with every nook and cranny of this community as well as everyone they’ve met within. From the ethnic eateries (they love Nando’s), to the naturalistic experiences of the Superstitions, they’ve found peace and calm among these mountains.

The Lifestyle

Gorgeous community set against the Superstitions.

Various home styles for every income and family type.

Well known for manicured, safe streets.

“Everyone is friendly. The streets feel safe. You feel naturally at home here.”

The true strength of Las Sendas comes from the lifestyle it represents. The mission of developer Jeff Blandford of Blandford Homes was to create a community focused on “getting people out of their homes and having neighbors meet their neighbors," which happens every day in Las Sendas. The community goes to great lengths to connect people of all strides to each other in various ways. Including neighborhood clubs catering to bridge players, photography enthusiasts, moms, retirees, bibliophiles, yoga, and pilates. There are also a wide range of clubs and activities for the kids, including swim lessons, dance classes, and more. Homeowners here enjoy two trail-access points into the adjacent Tonto National Forest, as well as miles of pathways and several parks. Las Sendas parks include amenities for tennis, swimming, soccer, baseball, playgrounds, and covered ramadas with barbecues – all perfectly maintained and safely secured.

In Las Sendas you will fall in love with a laidback lifestyle filled with all kinds of recreational opportunities.

The Schools

Convenient and quick access to Las Sendas Elementary.

Zoned for the high-performing Red Mountain High School.

“Las Sendas Elementary is just across the street – very handy for families.”

This community has a unique amenity not offered to many others: A public elementary school exclusively for Las Sendas residents, providing residents with a unique level of access and ease to their children's education. This culture of closeness fosters a family-first atmosphere and borderline small-town vibe. Las Sendas Elementary happens to be one of the top ranking elementary schools in the state of Arizona. For junior high and high school, residents are zoned for Mesa Public School District and are served by Fremont Junior High and Red Mountain High School, both of which are high-performing and highly respected Mesa schools.

Mesa is renown for their vast public and charter options as well. One need not look far to find the perfectly structured education plan for their child when living in Las Sendas.

The Work

Completely private, yet somehow totally accessible.

“The 202 allows us to regularly and quickly commute to Phoenix.”

Las Sendas is perfectly located right off the Loop 202. So, while the desert is at your back door and you have the infinite natural outdoor amenities of Tonto National Forest, the city is still very easily accessible. Most residents of this community are successful, high-income, “white-collar” types. However, the area itself doesn’t necessarily lend itself to a great many jobs. The vast majority of homeowners in this part of the Valley commute to one of the nearby commerce hubs, including Phoenix, Mesa, Chandler, and Tempe. All of which are roughly 15 minutes away via freeway. This accessibility lends itself nicely to people of all brackets, from young families to retirees.

The Play

Beautiful, Las Sendas golf course.

Some of the best mountain biking in all of Arizona.

Landscapes that will leave you speechless.

Tonto National Forest, offering an array of activities.

“We always loved this area’s natural settings. Being so close to the mountains.”

Las Sendas offers an upscale living experience far away from the hustle and bustle of city life. It is a Mecca for outdoor enthusiasts and has garnered a national following as such. It’s proximity to Tonto National Forest affords it an endless array of outdoor opportunities. There are no shortage of hiking trails meandering their way through the deserts of Las Sendas. Mountain bike with friends or find an offshoot single track and go completely solo. Feel the rush of lazing around in a tube for hours in the Salt River. A short drive along the Bush highway and through the desert will bring you to scenic Saguaro Lake, with it's endless opportunity for outdoor activities, including boating, waterskiing, and so much more. Looking for water-based fun that's a little more casual? Take a swim at Butcher Jones Beach with the family. Or, hike up to a gorgeous camping spot in Usery Mountain. The list is truly endless.

If you’d like to stay closer to the paved streets and pathways, the communities here offer a wide range of services to residents. As Carla told us, “We’re close to the pool, there’s tennis courts and basketball courts. And they’re still building, they’re putting in a splash pad and a whole new park area for the kids.” Las Sendas offers fun for the entire family, regardless of age or interest.
